A Fat Girl's Guide to Swimsuit Shopping

Finding that perfect swimsuit for the summer sits in the back of my head all winter. The most important thing to keep in mind when purchasing your suit is fit! Make the fit of the swimsuit your first priority and you will have better success at feeling confident at this summer's pool party or Miami vacay. It's important to know what flatters your body. Look for a suit that offers you great fit, coverage, comfort and style. For a plus sized woman, many new cuts on the market are designed to give you just that. The selection of plus size suits is growing, and you don’t have to settle for something that looks like a tent.

Marisota has a plethora of swimwear selections to help you feel like the model you are. Show off your curves and feel confident when doing so! One of my favorite fatshion bloggers, Gabi, rocked this chevaron bikini bottom and top while on her trip in Vegas (read her post Fatkini 2021 here). The high-waisted style hides the tummy and also has a pin-up retro look.

Small details like ruching create a slimming silhouette and hides our love handles. This silhoutte bandeau swimsuit in violet is perfect. The detachable straps make this suit ideal for sunbathing or to amp up the sexy factor.
I love a one-shoulder feature and this Panache Sophia bandeau swimsuit is amazing. This glamorous one-shoulder swimsuit has a detachable strap and front knot detail and gathering for a great shape. Keeping the theme of support and shame in mind, this suit also has lined cups and wings give anchorage and support around the body.
