Same Girl, Different Hair

Long hair, don't care! The title of this post is so fitting for my hair transformation and a t-shirt slogan from Mia Ray from Confessions of a Glamaholic. Finally, after all of my tweets, rants, and wishes got a weave - a high quality and expensive one at that. I ordered 16" and 18" virgin Indian extensions from Virtue Extensions. Being 100% virgin hair, I had to dye it jet black to match my natural hair color. At the end of next month, I'm going to ombre it just in time for May and just in time for summer. If you live in Charlotte, make sure Nailah Alnisa installs your weave! She is extremely gifted with the curls! Long hair really makes outfits look different than before. You may remember this DOTs dress from my "Pretty In Pink" post last month. I repeated the dress Thursday night and my new do made it look completely different.

CIAA 2012

CIAA is undoubtedly the most party-filled week in Charlotte. Of course, I had to attend for the fourth year in a row. This year wasn't as great as previous years, but my outfits were the bomb. I didn't get to go to ANY parties Friday or Saturday night due to traffic, our horrible timing, and disorganization. All attempts to see Rick Ross each night failed horribly. The highlight of my weekend was wearing my Monif C Emma dress. I felt super chic and glamorous. The arrow design on the front slims the stomach area. The material is light, a little stretchy, and comfortable. I was called "white dress" by crazy boys all night. It rained Friday night and I got caught in this tornado/hurricane/monsoon and was drenched from head to toe. Saturday I went to Lux for the Future day party, which my friend Alexis was hosting. It was so live! It was only 6pm, but it felt like 1am. Future brought out DJ Drama too surprising everyone! Saturday night, I ended up in a whirlwind. In and out of the car, in and out of traffic, in and out of hotels. I went to Nordstrom Rack early Saturday afternoon and bought this beautiful Julia Dillon dark purple dress with leopard lace details along the collarbone and sleeeves. It was originally $218 and I got in on sale for $33! The asymmetrical peplum skirt detail added a touch of flirtiness. Overall, I had tons of random fun with my girls. Next year, will be more organized! Words of advice for those who want to attend CIAA events: reserve your hotel room months in advance, purchase tickets for night parties, and order your outfits atleast a month to two months in advance, hire a driver, and always have cash.
